Matt Riley, CAE

Matt Riley, CAE, is the CEO of The Conference Agency, which specialises in organising conferences and events, especially for associations and professional membership bodies. He founded the agency after a 12-year career as an conference organiser and association executive with the US-based National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) and the South Carolina Bar Association.  He has conducted large conferences in cities like New York and San Francisco, exclusive executive retreats in the Caribbean and Southern California, and events and video production in London.

At the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), he oversaw the organization’s professional development portfolio including 11 certification programs, two certificate programs, a 1,200-person annual convention, a 250-person executive retreat, and numerous other seminars, workshops, and distance learning programs.  Prior to joining NCRA, Matt spent six years working for the South Carolina Bar, where he managed various continuing education programs and conferences for attorneys and judges.

Matt is also the Producer of the Future in 15 Show, a series of interviews that showcase entrepreneurs and innovators within the MICE and Hospitality sectors.

Matt is certified by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and has served on the group’s Meetings and Expositions Section Council, which was created to strengthen the professionalism, value, and image of association events professionals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science from the University of South Carolina. He lives in London with his wife, Jacque, and their expat cat, Annie.
